Easiest way to port your mobile number from AIRTEL

Porting out mobile number from AIRTEL is not easy as we think because in AIRTEL prepaid segment none of the mobile number is in the users name it is in the name of fake proofs generated by the prepaid distributors . And you can't change your proof in the prepaid segment of AIRTEL because India's leading MNC mobile network company AIRTEL don't have the provision to update the proof for a prepaid customer ( This is one of the cunning way to retain the customers from porting out ).
Remedy for switching out from AIRTEL to other network is
- First switch off your AIRTEL number for one day.
- Next day run to a AIRTEL customer care centre and report that you have lost your mobile along with the SIM card.
- Take relevant proofs for getting a duplicate SIM.
- Request a new SIM with the same number.
- Get ready few questions are asked by the AIRTEL customer care to prove the lost SIM is yours such as your frequently dialled numbers, your last recharge value etc.
- They charge you Rs 100 for replacing a new SIM card
- Very important don't forget to get the receipt for the money you pay them.
- Now a new prepaid SIM is issued and the proof for the number is in your name.
- After few days you can give a porting request.
- Even then your number doesn't get ported you have got the receipt in your hand now which proves that you have replaced a lost SIM now you can take a legal action if needed.

If you are using AIRTEL prepaid mobile only GOD can port your number
I was happy when Mobile Number Portability was launched all over India being a Salesman I used to work in the rural areas of Tamil Nad where I felt that VODAFONE Mobile is having better coverage among all Mobile Operators in Tamil Nad and for my convenience I preferred to Port my number from AIRTEL to VODAFONE.
Recently I visited a VODAFONE store to apply MNP( Mobile Number Portability ) then the executive at the store asked me to confirm whether the present AIRTEL mobile number which am using is registered with AIRTEL in your name or not.I still remember that when I bought my AIRTEL mobile number I produced my Photo,ID Proof and Address Proof to get my connection but when I called AIRTEL Customer Care they refused to tell the Name and details of my AIRTEL mobile number instead they asked my name and simply refused answering smartly that the AIRTEL mobile number you are using is not in your name.
All this happened in front of the VODAFONE store executive and now the guy in the store told me that this is the reason why they don't take MNP request from a customer who use AIRTEL and he told one more thing that the Unique Porting Code ( UPC ) provided by AIRTEL is not unique they simply reject the porting request for filthy reasons and retain their customers forcing them indirectly to use AIRTEL.
AIRTEL mostly rejects all of its Porting Out request.
Final conclusion If you are using AIRTEL mobile only GOD can Port your number.
