In 2010 157 banks and in 2009 140 banks were closed in US due to bankruptcy , 13 banks on average were closed monthly and a maximum number of 23 banks were closed in the April 2010 due to bankruptcy.
In 1992 financial crisis 179 banks were closed in US .It is said that after every financial crisis lots of people become jobless and it leads to the bankruptcy of small and medium banks..
