World Anti-Obesity Day is celebrated on Nov 26 every year .On the year 2004 - 2006 a survey was conducted among Delhi School Students and found that nearly 30 percent of the students were obese , nearly 15 percent of Indians are obese says National Institute of Nutrition. The population of obese people in India is greater than the population of New Zealand and Australia together , obesity has become an International Problem.
Here are few tips that you can follow in your day to day life and fight obesity..
- Determine a weight that you can reduce..
- Good food habit.(Avoid junk and oily foods)
- Quit smoking and consuming alcohol..
- Split your daily food into small quantities and have it 6 times a day..
- Take more fresh fruits and green vegetables in your daily food..
- Avoid taking white foods such as Sugar,Salt,Rice and Milk..(Cannot avoid just take a little)
- Drink minimum 8 glass (200ml) of water daily..
- Do exercise daily (walking,jogging,cycling or swimming whatever it is workout for at least 40 minutes)
- Sleep eight hours daily..
- Do meditation regularly..
- Do Respiratory practices regularly(Consult a Certified Respiratory Therapist before you do so)..
- If you don't feel well go and consult a Doctor avoid self treatment..
